| Welcome to bedford.net
We would like to take the time and welcome you to bedford.net. First of all, thank you for taking the time to stop by our website. We've tried to make it compact and compatible with most browsers. Feel free to look around for a while - even if you're not a customer, you're welcome to use our homepage as a starting point for surfing the internet. Also, you can check out the service plans and prices that we offer while you are here. While you check out our services, please consider that we have the utmost commitment to you. Many ISPs have terms of service (ToS) that they use to rein in the behavior of their customers. We have one of those too. Unlike other ISPs, we feel as though our customers have their own ToS that we, as an ISP, must satisfy. Basically it comes down to respect for you. Policies of bedford.net to Our Users 1. No Voicemail Nightmares Among our early decisions was to provide local technical support staff. This way, we could ensure that a person answered the phone, not one of those horrid voice-ignore systems that so many companies use today. We hate to get stuck in one of them, so we won't inflict them on you. We don't sell or distribute our user lists to anyone. The last thing you need is more junk mail at home or SPAM in your e-mail box. We want people to respect our privacy, and we think it's good policy to do the same for others. Along these lines, we do not track the activity of our users except for network performance issues. For more information on how we use log files and what activities we log (very limited), check here. 3. Censorship of Content Furthermore, we do not censor the internet for our users except to use automated email filters to protect against SPAM. While there are things out there which are not for children or for those with a modicum of taste, we do not feel comfortable making decisions about the content that our users view, considering the breadth and diversity of our user base. We think it's arrogant for us to try to make decisions for you that are extremely personal in nature or to try to usurp the role of parent. We'd like to thank you for visiting. We would not be here without you or without the support of our users. Please visit us again soon. |
